Respect for our Liberators !

On 18 and 19 september we where in the great museum Wings of Liberation in Best (Netherlands) with a PR stand from STIWOT, the foundation for information on World War two.
In this weekend the southern part of our country selebrates the liberation from the German occupation during the Second World War, with lot of activities and a parade in Eindhoven.
In the museum in Best i met three World War two veterans and i was able to talk with them. I showed my deep respect for what they did for our freedom and told them how gratefull we are.

In front of a map from the liberation of our country i met the third veteran, which also landed at Normandy.
The museum had some new items to show in their great collection, a V1 rocket and different air defence items and in the future signal equipment.
On saturday evening there was a parade in Eindhoven where the old veterans where joined with the young veterans from recent missions to celebrate our freedom. As fromer member of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) i joined with the UN peacekeepers from UNIFIL (Lebanon).
